Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
At Whalan Public School, we are committed to equity and excellence, ensuring every student is known, valued and supported to achieve their full potential. We hold high expectations for learning, wellbeing and engagement, and believe that every child deserves access to explicit, high-quality teaching that enables them to succeed.
Our students are engaged through a broad and inclusive curriculum, enhanced by specialist teachers in the arts, science and PDHPE. We recognise and nurture the strengths of our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students while also providing targeted support so that students with additional learning needs can access, participate in and succeed in learning.
Strong connections with students and genuine partnerships with families sit at the heart of our school community. Together, we work to ensure every child experiences a sense of belonging, builds confidence and develops the skills needed to thrive.
I invite you to explore our website and discover what makes our school a place where students are supported to learn, grow and succeed.
